Coastal Camping Victoria Inc. (CCV) is network to help coastal public land managers responsible for caravan parks and camping grounds along the Victorian coast.

Coastal Camping Victoria Inc. (CCV) is an association that aims to involve all public land managers that manage or lease caravan parks and camping reserves along the Victorian coast to:

  • Share information, knowledge and expertise between members
  • Implement marketing programs and other initiatives to benefit members
  • Represent members as the ‘Peak Body’ and undertake advocacy on their behalf

CCV was set up following the release of the Reference Group report into Crown Land caravan parks and camping grounds.  Since then, DSE has undertaken a range of work to progress key recommendations arising from this report. You can find out more about DSE’s work on their website [more]

A small group of caravan park managers decided the time was right to set up an network to help park managers to work together to manage the fantastic, diverse and important Crown land caravan parks and camping grounds.

CCV’s vision

A sustainably used Victorian coast that is managed by effective public land managers who benefit from working together.

CCV will initially include all interested managers of caravan and camping parks situated on coastal Crown land in Victoria. Our focus will, in the first instance, be related to marketing and promotion activities and implementation of the recommendations arising from the Caucus Reference Group’s report on Caravan and Camping Parks on Coastal Crown Land.

In time we envisage the scope will expand to cover broader issues associated with the management of coastal Crown land.

We will work closely with Committees of Management, park managers and Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Improving Equity of Access to Crown Land Caravan and Camping Parks

A new policy has been developed and as of May 2010, will be in place for Victoria’s 175 public caravan and camping parks (more)

Victorian Coastal Strategy

Coastal Camping Victoria has been invited to become a member of the Victorian Coastal Strategy Coordinating Committee. This is great news for CCV, demonstrating increasing recognition of our network within Government.
